Smile Delivery Foundation (SDF) is a non-profit organization benefiting children with life-threatening illnesses. We deliver "smiles" to children during their extended hospital stays, no more chemo parties, birthdays, or other special occasions. A "smile" consists of kind words of encouragement, gifts, hugs, love, cards, and most importantly, prayers.SDF has been delivering "smiles" to at least two children each week, but our hope is to increase that number, significantly. By working through referrals from healthcare facilities, we are able to personalize the gifts that we deliver to a child. Our referral form contains a gift option list which allows each child to help choose their gift. In addition to the child's gift choice; they each receive a t-shirt, tote bag, and the option for a Bible with their name engraved. We can honestly say that we truly understand what an act of love and kindness can do to lift a child's spirit, and our hope is to make a profound difference in their lives as well as the lives of their families.
